Overview
Dhumpana is the Ayurvedic practice of inhaling medicated herbal smoke, traditionally used to clear congestion in the head and throat region.
How It Works
Controlled inhalation of medicated smoke is believed to help clear Kapha accumulation in the head, throat and upper respiratory passages.

The Process
Purva Karma (Preparation)
A medicated herbal preparation suited to the condition is prepared for controlled inhalation.
Pradhana Karma (Main Procedure)
The patient inhales the medicated smoke in a controlled manner under supervision, avoiding excessive exposure.
Paschat Karma (Aftercare)
Patients are advised on rest and any dietary precautions following the session.
