Overview
Abhyanga is a traditional full-body warm oil massage, considered a cornerstone of daily Ayurvedic self-care as well as a preparatory therapy before Panchkarma.
How It Works
Warm medicated oil, chosen according to your dosha, is massaged over the body using specific strokes that improve circulation, relax musculature and calm the nervous system.

The Process
Purva Karma (Preparation)
Oil is selected based on the patient's constitution and warmed to a comfortable temperature.
Pradhana Karma (Main Procedure)
A trained therapist performs full-body massage using long, rhythmic strokes for a set duration, focusing on major joints and muscle groups.
Paschat Karma (Aftercare)
A brief rest period is recommended, often followed by Swedana (steam therapy) for enhanced effect.
