Overview
Upanaha Sweda is a poultice-based fomentation therapy where warm herbal paste is applied and bandaged over an affected area to relieve deep-seated joint and muscular pain.
How It Works
The warm herbal poultice is left in place for a sustained period, allowing prolonged heat and herbal penetration into deeper tissue layers.

The Process
Purva Karma (Preparation)
A warm herbal paste is freshly prepared according to the condition being treated.
Pradhana Karma (Main Procedure)
The paste is applied to the affected area and secured with a bandage, left in place for an extended duration.
Paschat Karma (Aftercare)
The poultice is removed and the area cleaned, with rest advised for the remainder of the day.
