Akshi Tarpana Jaipur (अक्षि तर्पण)

Overview

Akshi Tarpana is an Ayurvedic eye therapy in which medicated ghee is retained around the eyes to relieve dryness and eye strain.

How It Works

A dam is created around the eyes and filled with warm medicated ghee, allowing the eyes to remain open and gently bathe in the preparation, nourishing eye tissue.

The Process

Purva Karma (Preparation)

A dough dam is prepared around the eyes and medicated ghee is warmed to a safe temperature.

Pradhana Karma (Main Procedure)

Warm ghee is poured into the dam around the open eyes and retained for a set duration under supervision.

Paschat Karma (Aftercare)

The area is gently cleaned, and patients are advised to rest their eyes following the session.
